split

After the last big update, I can not start session on my desktop PC. Apparently it is a problem with Nvidia drivers. I did accept to change some libraries that appeared as conflicts of dependencies displayed by Pacman before the update. Any suggestion?

Thanks!!

Re: split

Split from https://forum.chakralinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=14501, please refrain from hijacking topics. Since "the last big update" has no meaning in a rolling or semi-rolling distribution, please share your pacman.log so that others can tell for sure what actually happened. I'll leave it to you to set an appropriate subject line for this topic.

Re: split

if you use the testing repositoy:

1) if possible boot you system and log in a TTY
1.1) heck the journal for errors journalctl - err
1.2) run: chakra-check-links and store the result somewhere in ~/ for later bug hunting
1.3) run pacman -Syuu and reboot

2) if not possible to boot add in the kcmd systemd.unit=multi-user.target
2.1) do 1.1 and 1.2 and 1.3

3) boot a live system
3.1) mount your system in /mnt
3.2) run systemd-nspawn -D /mnt
3.3) do 1.1 and 1.2 and 1.3

edit
now using the "gift" from tetris4 wink

I think you missed a "t" there at the end:

systemd.unit=multi-user.target
